Google Analytics announced a bunch of new features that allow you to view and use your traffic data in new ways. They made the announcement yesterday at the eMetrics Summit in DC. We are particularly focused on the API. It is still in private beta, but we’re hopeful we can get access soon as we’ve been jonesing for this for some time. We’ve seen workarounds that involve emailing xml summaries out of google analytics daily, but this should be a huge improvement. They’ve also incorporated the Trendalyzer chart that they acquired from Gapminder and renamed it motion charts. This is a great, free tool that we use here at RJMetrics, and it keeps getting better.
