Two weeks ago, I was a judge at PennVention, an annual invention competition for students at the University of Pennsylvania. It was a great experience. PennVention is organized by the Weiss Tech House, a campus technology hub that I participated in as an undergrad. PennVention is a lot more interesting than a typical business plan competition because every contestant has actually made something aside from a PowerPoint deck full of projections.
In addition to judging, RJMetrics sponsored a prize to provide mentoring, advice, and a free year’s subscription to our software. The winner of the RJMetrics prize was CampusYap.com, a new social media site focusing on events on college campuses. CampusYap was founded by Ashish Sharma and Sudhanshu Aggarwa, and we’re excited to be associated with smart, talented young entrepreneurs like them. We will be helping them out with metrics like cohort analysis, customer retention, and conversion. Congrats to CampusYap and the other contestants.
