This video is from a TED conference in 2006, but it’s new to me and maybe to some of you as well. The content, data visualization, and presentation are all amazing. Hans Rosling, a professor of international health and director of the Gapminder Foundation, shows some incredibly enlightening statistics about the third world. The video is 20 minutes long and completely worth it. If you recognize the charts, it’s probably because Gapminder created the Trendalyzer (now called motion charts) format that the Google Visualization API and Google Analytics use today.
